Sterns Edits returns with Ben Gomori's second catalogue rework, reimagining Burkina Faso's legendary Amadou Balake. Drawing from his final 2013 album 'In Conclusion'—a career retrospective recorded with an eight-piece Burkinabe band—Gomori fuses the raw, one-take essence of Balake's originals with contemporary afro-house production. 'Bar Konon Mousso' receives a gentle modern dancefloor treatment, its sax lines gleaming, while 'Massa Kamba' deepens into hypnotic grooves anchored by commanding drums and a striking triple-harmony brass section. Balake's freewheeling vocal style perfectly complements these vibrant edits, honoring five decades of musical mastery.
